I just read Legion's "Perpetual Rain"and have to say, I just loved it. :-) It's exactly the type of story I have a weak spot for.
Now, telling exactly *why* would spoil the thrill for those who haven't read it yet and I don't want to do that. Which means, the reasons go behind a LJ-cut do give you the chance of deciding by yourself whether you want to read it before. And I would strongly recommend to do so, the story works better if you don't know about the twist. It's only 16k, so it won't take too much time. Go, read, then come back, my comments will make more sense this way anyway. *g*
( Spoilers ahead )
I'm just so happy with this story. :-)
Just realized that this last comment might be misleading. It's not exactly a happy story, it's more that I'm happy with Legion's ability to write such a story. Legion gives a warning at the beginning of the story and it's up to you to read the spoiler or not. It's... bittersweet? Yeah, I think this fits.
