A difficult question, at least as difficult as the story itself. The three parts
Predator,
Perspectives and
Protector
make one big story, so I'm going to speak about the trilogy as one entity. I think it's a disturbing story, very skillfully written and from the viewpoint of "quality" I would say "yes" but I doubt that much readers, at least "hardcore" TS-fans, would be very happy with it. On the one hand the story gets a lot of its impact from the familiarity of the readers with the characters, and its more powerful this way, on the other hand, being not quite as "connected" to the characters would make the reading easier to... well, "bear".
It's not only because
morgan32 describes some bloody scenes very detailed but because it's a very disturbing view of an AU-Jim that left me torn about what to think of him and, beyond that, thinking about my own ethical stance. I'm really going to spoil this one, so, ( more behind the cut )
